Starting Again (Again, Once more)

Hmmm.  It's like Deja Vu. ..all over again.  I am sensing a trend.  So, I won't write about how I really want to be a blogger but just can't seem to make it work.  You can go back to last year's solitary post for that!

I know I'm not alone in this...I find blogs all the time that have huge gaps between posts, or that end abruptly.   Makes me think life gets in the way for others, too!  I'd wager a guess that there are more frustrated quilt blogger wanna be's than actual quilt bloggers.  And OH MY GOODNESS , are there a lot of actual quilt bloggers.

I so enjoy reading and viewing blogs.  And lately, I've had a real desire to document what I've been up,to in the sewing room, so, with no apologies, here I go again.

I have my fingers crosed that there will be a finish by Friday.  A real, honest to goodness QUILT finish!!  This...

I love a rolled up binding!
is ready to be attached, and then I just need to find time to stitch the back by hand.  It's exciting to be so close, especially on a quilt I am so excited about!

I am also excited about this...

The start of a new project!  My quilty pen pal and I have decided to do a Round Robin swap this year.  We will each make a center block, then swap to add on every six weeks or so, until the owner declares her project finished.  My vision is to make a mini quilt for my sewing room wall.  I've chosen colors that will become the focal points for the room if  when it gets re-done later this year.  I absolutely adore craft rooms I've seen around blog land that are done in aqua and red.  That's my plan.  And, if nothing else,  I'll at least have a mini by the end of the year!

Lots of stash here.  Nothing with a fancy pedigree, but oh so pretty!

If you stood on your head to read the upside down pattern (sorry about that) you'll have figured out that I'm making an 8 inch Swoon as my center.  Ooooh, I can't wait!

It's been a while since I've been so excited about my sewing projects.  I've been sewing consistently for the last 12 months, but I guess nothing has lit my fire enough to share it.  It feels good to be excited and to share!
